Fast and Easy Family Home Evening Lessons
Read “Mother’s Day for Mrs. Martin” . Discuss ways to celebrate Mother’s Day—by honoring both your mother and other special women you know. Choose someone whom your family would like to honor and make her a “Quilted Card” . Celebrate the birth of Joseph Smith like Daniel and his family did in “A Special Guest” Talk about the importance of asking for and receiving revelation.
Discuss the importance of setting goals. Think of a goal you want to achieve as a family. What can you do to reach your goal? For more ideas, read “How Do I Achieve My Goals? ” which shares some thoughts from Elder M. Russell Ballard .
President Heber J. Grant (1856–1945) understood the importance of good music. Have each family member choose a favorite hymn to sing and, if possible, take turns practicing leading the music . Describe what each of these things means to you and how it will help you through trials during your mortal journey.
